Rolling Hills Casino RV Park - Corning CA

I wouldn't recommend you to come for the buffet either unless you're fine paying for an overpriced hometown buffet. We stopped off to use the ATM and see if we could grab a quick bite in the morning. I found the complimentary bread to be overly herbal, served with an equally overly herbal low quality olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce. We also had to constantly return to the front desk to reactivate our room key cards. It was Delicious. This place looks decent from Highway 5, but once we walked in it felt like we entered a family tree that goes straight up if you catch my drift. We felt the meal was way overpriced for the quality, but we are rather snobby that way. Keep in mind this review is for the first weekend of their reopening due to covid 19 shutdown. I know it is a steak house, but their surf offerings seem to be better executed than their turf offerings. What you'll hear is constant announcements of tables that are ready for people's food. Apparently they weren't too used to seeing a dark skinned human or an alien in their eyes. I think this place is a great stop for truck drivers as well. Food was standard bar food, nothing to write home about, but we did appreciate the drinks. I'll admit, we looked very suspicious in our tank-tops, shorts and flip-flops. Here's a thought, if you are worried about your employees getting robbed, maybe you should put a sign up. You can lower your mask to smoke, but must put it back on when finished smoking, which they are right on you to do so. The Casino: To enter the Casino, you must have a face covering. The decent wines seemed to have a high markup, so best to bring your own fabulous bottle and pay the corkage. One of the best burgers I have had. Apparently this casino SWAT member thought we were going to rob the slot machine, which unbeknownst to us was being emptied. RV Park: Clean, friendly and convenient what else can you ask for? Go somewhere else to spend your money.{/INSERTKEYS}{/PARAGRAPH} The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Second night was a totally different story, same excellent service, but we both opted for the lost coast salmon. If you forget to do so, I would recommend the Hall Cabernet from their list. So 1st night maybe A three star, second night was a five star. We stayed at their Inn, which we had never stayed at before. We stay here quite often but I have always been too tired or busy to do a review. The ATM didn't work, which was probably a good thing because we probably would have been stomped and robbed by the family reunion slot pullers. Then, to cap off an amazing experience, we were walking out of the casino. I look forward to returning in the future when all gets back to normal again. The slots are far from loose and the casino is an outdated dump. The lot was huge and clean. My only ding on the room is the black out curtains, they were very degraded and light came through the degraded areas, which were many. {PARAGRAPH}{INSERTKEYS}For Businesses. The Casino bars are not open, so if you want an alcoholic beverage, you must go to the lounge area. They are served in plastic cups, which I personally cannot stand, nor do I understand why the plastic when water is served in glass, as was wine in The Timbers. Write a Review. Again, all we were trying to get out of the building. Our waitress was very friendly and had good recommendations. Security didn't do anything once we told and all they said was "if you don't feel safe, leave! When we dined in our next table was loudly blasting African American rap music out of their phones. I did feel that we overpayed since the amenities were not available, including an in room coffee maker, but nothing to make coffee with. Maybe the staff were all on Mask patrol. Restrooms had an attendant present during each visit, and sanitizing was ongoing there as well. They checked our temps at the door instructed us to use hand sanitizer but once in, numerous people not wearing their face coverings and I only witnessed i employee telling some one to put theirs back on. Makes no sense, but it is what it is right now. I also opted for their raspberry salad, wow, it was outstanding! There are also multiple hand sanitizing stations throughout the Casino. The meal the first night was ribeye steak for me, and filet mignon for the Honey. I feel the staff really tried their best, and we were happy to get away and enjoy the hospitality. You cannot order a drink without ordering food, and you cannot bring your alcoholic drink onto the gaming floor. I liked it a lot and will go back soon. The inn is clean and check in went smoothly. Once you are seated you'll find yourself surrounded with the most sketchiest patrons. Once we said something about it, we got threatened. Service both nights was Stellar. It was hot this weekend, and the air conditioner worked perfectly. Excellent presentation and it was fabulous and worth every penny! Loved the shower! We brought our own wine, as usual, and corkage was only 10 dollars. We did peruse the minimalist wine list. We thought they might be filming a new The Hills Have Eyes movie. If you want to gamble the Casino is available, we enjoyed eating at the buffet. It was rather cool in the Casino with the increased air flow, so might want have a sweater handy despite the outdoor temperature. They also have complimentary self serve non alcoholic beverage stations, that in my opinion were not as actively serviced as they should be. Bunch of Billy-Bob's staring at us like we were either aliens or armed robbers. The Hotel: We booked a two night stay over Memorial weekend and so did not know what to expect with reopening. My ribeye was perfect. Instead, this guy was ready to pounce on two people simply trying to leave. We went to the lounge for lunch after an event at the Equine Facility. This is one of our standard stops along I Added bonus are the amenities in the club house, we took advantage of the laundry room super clean, large capacity machines that did an excellent job. There's no excitement. Food arrived quickly and was hot. Maybe you should rope off the machines being emptied. The pool and work out area were closed, but you could sit by the pool and sip your own cocktails and wine while enjoying the weather and the sights and sounds from the little waterfall feeding into the pool. All we wanted to do was to take cash out of the ATM. They did sanitize machines between player use, and they have started installing plexiglass between machines, so I expect more machines to open up as they continue these installations. Not sure what else I can say, this place is an awesome safe stop if your in the area! They will ask you to lower it right as you enter, have you pull it back up, check your temperature, instruct you to use the nearby hand sanitizer station, and off you go into the Casino. They enforce the mask wearing on the casino floor. Also worth mentioning is the abundance of garbage cans have you noticed more and more business are getting rid of garbage cans? Vending machines were empty as was ice machine. Did not see many Hand pays, but there were a lot of lower level jackpots from the 50 to just under dollars going on, including with us. First off, we didn't stop here to gamble. Service was excellent. In other words, the curtains were shot! As we walked through the casino, a very Paul Blart looking fella nearly grabbed me and yelled at me to move. The Timbers Steakhouse: We ate dinner here two nights in a row, because, let's face it, nothing else open nearby other than fast food. The lounge: well we had to order some kind of food in order to get an alcoholic drink. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. My friend got the crispy chicken sandwich and she said it was delicious also. So, I am giving four stars because under the circumstances, I feel they tried to give us, their customers, the best experience possible given the constraints they face in doing so. We requested 2 additional pillows which was accomodated. They do pretty much have it set up for social distancing, with about every other machine turned off. The filet not so good. They need to be replaced as on the other side towards the window the degraded areas looked like black mildew. It has those features where you can turn it to different spray levels.
